This issue of ICT Finance MarketPlace Newsletter provides an update on the latest activities of this EU-fund initiative under the 7th Framework Programme. The most recent were in June where , during the ICT Spring 2011 in Luxembourg, ICT Finance MarketPlace organised a workshop addressed to entrepreneurs who they were able to interact with and question business angels about the latter's perspective when investing in ICT SMEs. This was preceded by a very successful participation in the 1st Digital Agenda Assembly, where, once again, SMEs and Entrepreneur from the ICT sector had the opportunities to receive training and valuable insights about how to access investment finance and how to pitch their business ideas in the most effective way to actual investors in addition to actually pitching to and meeting with investors at the Day 2 Investment Forum.

Until now, the EU funded ICT Finance MarketPlace initiative has provided support to more than 200 entrepreneurs and innovative SMEs in the ICT field, from all over Europe, on how to improve their access to finance. This has been achieved through the various set of activities offered by the three projects involved in the ICT Finance MarketPlace cluster initiative (including coaching, brokerage events, matchmaking/pitching events, online tools and guidelines). As result of these activities, there are many entrepreneurs that are currently negotiating with investors and which, in time, hope to secure funding for their projects.
