ICT Finance MarketPlace @ ICT Spring 2011 (28-29 June 2011, Luxembourg)

Three business angel investors accepted the challenge to be questioned by ICT entrepreneurs at ICT Spring 2011 in Luxembourg last June. They were Steve Glangé BAN, Luxembourg, Muriel Devillers also based in Luxembourg and Joseph de Gheldere, BeAngels, Belgium (see photo, left to right).

The workshop was introduced by Luis Galveias, project manager of EBAN who briefly introduced ACCESS ICT and ICT Finance MarketPlace. This was followed by a training session delivered by Steve Glangé covering key issues for ICT SMEs when in the process of fund raising.

A Q&A panel then provided an opportunity for ICT entrepreneurs to ask questions directly to investors and to get an insight about their perspective when investing in ICT SMEs.

ACCESS ICT also invited five companies commercialising the outputs of their EU-funded research to interact with their peers and to present to the circa 300 registered investors who were looking for new deals at the event. Companies come from different sub-sectors of ICT and from different European countries such as Germany, Portugal, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.

ICT Spring is a worldwide, two-day event which brings together more than 1,500 ICT executives from Europe, America, Africa and Asia. ICT markets' latest available companies were unveiled: social networks, mobile trends, security, applications, data centres, e-commerce, etc.. 80 Start-ups were the stars of the show and were invited to present their latest innovations and services to be used by the professionals and consumers of tomorrow.
